Coach Spotlight:

By: Sydney Piotrowicz and Tatum Bradshaw

Coach Nunes is a para professional here at Winfield High School. This is his first year ever coaching football and baseball. When asked why he coaches, he replied with, “I like watching the progression of the boys get better at what they are passionate about.” His favorite part about coaching goes along with his answer to his last question. He likes watching the kids succeed and become better at what they love. His passion for the game is what drove him to want to be a coach. His favorite memory of coaching so far is when he asked a kid if hes seen the movie “The Blind Side” and the kid replied with, “No I haven’t but I’ve seen the “Bucketlist” and its a good movie.
