Did you know that a baby swan is called a “Cygnet?”

Yep, those adorable, little gray fluff balls are called Cygnets. The reason why they are called this is because the Latin word for swan is “Cygnus.” Mother swans, also known as “pens”, carry cygnets on their backs when swimming and it is the cutest thing ever.
