Extracurricular of the Week: Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA)

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes, also known as FCA, is a club here at Winfield High School which meets twice a month during advisory. At an average FCA meeting, FCA members usually discuss a certain theme based off a Christian reading. FCA does more than just meet up during advisory though. FCA will also sometimes do “See you at the pole,” which is where FCA members can come before school and gather around the flagpole to sing Christian songs and pray together. The music is done by some of our very own students and up to 20 or more students generally come and participate. To join Fellowship of Christian Athletes, it is not a requirement that you are Christian or an athlete, anyone can join. You can join just by going to FCA meetings, which are announced during advisory.
